Our Story

Lee Do first opened its doors in 1964 — one of Singapore's earliest homes for the traditional Fuzhou (Hock Chew) kitchen.

Founded by the late Mr Tan Seng Eng, the restaurant began in a modest HDB coffee shop off Bendemeer Road, serving the seafood- and soup-led dishes of Fuzhou, the coastal capital of Fujian. As word spread and diners grew loyal, Lee Do moved to Ubi's Automobile Megamart in 1999, and today it is at home in KAP Mall, King Albert Park.

Across sixty years and three generations, the recipes have not changed. Our cold crab, red wine chicken and yam paste are still made the way family recipes intend, and the casual warmth of the early days remains. Good food, we believe, has no boundaries — it is handed down, and carried forward.
