Welcome to Lee Do

Lee Do Restaurant was set up by the late Mr Tan Seng Eng in 1964 at a small HDB coffee shop off Bendemeer road. The block was eventually torn down to make way for a new condominium. It was relocated to its present address at Ubi Ave 2, Automobile Megamart in 1999.

​Mr Tan started the restaurant in the early 60s and is now handed over to the second generation. We pride ourselves as a family-run local restaurant as there are not many others out there serving  traditional Fuzhou (Hockchew) dishes. Till today, we have retained the casual dining atmosphere of our original restaurant in the good old days. We strive to continuously serve our loyal customers quality dishes at reasonable prices. 

Our restaurant specialises in Fu Zhou cuisine. Fuzhou is the capital of Fujian province, China. Because of Fuzhou’s location along the coastal line, this cuisine is one that is more seafood and soup-based. Our all-time customers’ favourite is our Red Wine Chicken Soup, made from red lees and fermented rice. Other popular dishes include Fried Pig’s Liver,  Seafood Soup and White Rice Cake. For special occasions, Fish Ball with Meat Fillings Soup is usually served.​

With our dishes, we’d like to preserve our familiar style and heritage as we believe that good food has no boundaries – ​handed down through generations while we move along in the future.
